Then, Guru Ji moved ahead. He came across a big forest and sat there. Soon, there came a wild dust storm. The trees flew. Then, Mardana Ji got frightened and said: Oh! Where have we come? This storm will kill us. Guru Ji said: O Mardana Ji, don't be afraid.
Then, Mardana Ji said: In my life, I have never seen such a storm. It is going to take my life.
Soon, a fire could be seen on all four sides, smoke rose high all around.
Then, Mardana Ji lay down and covered his face and said: I am dying.
Now, the rain came in torrents. But it was a little away from where Guru Ji was sitting. The shower did not fall on Guru Ji.
Then, Guru Ji said: O Mardana Ji, muster courage. Get up and play the rebeck.
Then, Mardana Ji got up, played the rebeck and Guru Ji sang a divine song.
Then, a demon came. It was tall up to the sky. It became smaller and smaller as it came near. Then, it assumed the form of a man. He stood with folded hands.
Guru Ji asked: Well! Who are you?
He said: Don't you know me? I am Un-enlightened (Kalyug). I have come to meet you. You are the prime messenger of the Lord.
He bowed to Guru Ji and said: Give me some service to do for you. Guru Ji asked: What service can you do?
He replied: If you order, I shall bring diamonds, pearls, gems and fragrances and put them at your feet.
Guru Ji said: I do not wish these, lest I may forget the Lord.
Then, he said: I can bring fairies from the heavens.
Guru Ji said: I do not wish these, lest I may forget the Lord.
Then, he said: I can bring supernatural powers.
Guru Ji said: I do not wish these, lest I may forget the Lord.
Then, he said: I can bring a kingdom.
Guru Ji said: I do not wish this, lest I may forget the Lord.
Then, he fell at Guru Ji's feet and went away.
Say: 'O Lord', 'O Lord'.
